Description

Strawberry Santas are a delightful and festive treat perfect for holiday gatherings. This no-bake recipe features fresh strawberries filled with a sweetened whipped cream cheese mixture, decorated with icing to resemble jolly Santa Claus faces. Quick to prepare and visually charming, these bite-sized desserts are sure to bring joy to any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale

Strawberries

  • 12 large strawberries

Filling

  • 1 cup whipped cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Decoration

  • Decorative red and black icing for the face

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries: Carefully wash the strawberries. Cut off the stems to create a flat base so the strawberries can stand upright. Then cut each strawberry into three pieces, slicing in half but leaving enough top part to be used as Santa hats.
  2. Make the filling: In a small mixing bowl, combine the whipped cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Load the piping bag: Transfer the cream cheese mixture into a piping bag for easy and precise application.
  4. Assemble the Santa base: Place the bottom strawberry pieces upright on a plate. Pipe the cream cheese mixture on top to form Santa’s body, making sure the peak is tall enough to decorate the face later.
  5. Add Santa hats: Place the top pieces of the strawberries on top of the cream cheese body to serve as Santa hats. Pipe a small white dot or trim on each hat using the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Decorate the face: Using the red and black decorative icing, carefully draw Santa’s eyes, mouth, and other facial details on the cream cheese area.
  7. Serve or store: Serve the strawberry Santas immediately, or refrigerate them until ready to enjoy. They taste best served chilled.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are dry before assembling to help the cream cheese stick better.
  • You can substitute whipped cream cheese with mascarpone for a richer taste.
  • If you don’t have a piping bag, use a zip-top bag with a small corner cut off.
  • Consume within 1-2 days for optimal freshness since the strawberries can release moisture.
  • Decorate with edible glitter or sprinkles for extra festive flair.
