Puff Pastry:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

Filling:

  • 1/4 cup Nutella
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a small bowl, combine diced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Allow to macerate for 5 minutes.
  3. Roll out the pastry: On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut into 6 rectangles.
  4. Assemble the pies: Place Nutella and strawberry mixture on 3 rectangles, top with remaining rectangles, and seal edges with a fork.
  5. Brush with egg wash: Brush the tops with beaten egg and make a small slit on each pie.
  6. Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and puffed.
  7. Finish: Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and enjoy!
