Ingredients
Scale
Potatoes:
- 3 pounds russet or Yukon gold potatoes, scrubbed and cut into 1-inch cubes
Seasoning:
- 1 packet (1 ounce) Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 1/3 cup olive oil or melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare Slow Cooker: Lightly coat the inside of a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
- Combine Ingredients: Place the cubed potatoes into the slow cooker. Drizzle with olive oil or melted butter, then sprinkle the Lipton Onion Soup Mix, garlic powder, and black pepper evenly over the top. Toss gently to coat the potatoes thoroughly.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the potatoes are tender.
- Serve: Stir gently before serving and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- For extra crisp edges, transfer cooked potatoes to a baking sheet and broil for 3–5 minutes before serving.
- Yukon gold potatoes tend to hold their shape better than russet in the slow cooker.
