Ingredients
Scale
For the Eggs:
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 5 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Filling:
- 1/2 pound breakfast sausage (cooked and crumbled)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Egg Mixture: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the egg mixture and cook, stirring occasionally, until just set. Remove from heat and stir in the cooked sausage and shredded cheese.
- Assemble Roll-Ups: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Place a spoonful of the egg mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Carefully roll up the dough, enclosing the filling, and place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a make-ahead option, cook the sausage and eggs the night before and assemble in the morning.
