For the muffins:

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

For the Nutella swirl:

  • ½ cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin with liners or by greasing it lightly.
  2. Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, sugar, oil, egg, and vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  3. Fill the muffin tin: Fill each muffin cup ¾ full with batter.
  4. Add Nutella swirl: Place a teaspoon of Nutella on top of each muffin and gently swirl it into the batter using a toothpick or knife.
  5. Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
