Meatballs:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Additional:
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Make the meatballs: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. Form into meatballs.
- Brown the meatballs: Brown the meatballs in olive oil in a skillet.
- Bake: Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs, bake for 15 minutes, then top with cheeses and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve: Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or a beef/pork blend instead of ground beef.
