Ingredients
Scale
For the Filling:
- 16 oz ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Cheese Circles:
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook the filling: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef, onion, and bell pepper until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain excess grease.
- Prepare the filling: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, cream cheese, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
- Make the cheese circles: On the prepared baking sheet, arrange the shredded Monterey Jack cheese into 8 even circles. Bake until edges are golden and lacy.
- Fill and roll: Allow cheese to cool slightly, then spoon filling onto each circle and roll tightly. Let roll-ups cool slightly to firm before serving.
Notes
- You can add sliced mushrooms for extra flavor or swap Monterey Jack for provolone for a more classic cheesesteak taste.
- For spiciness, add jalapeños to the filling.
