Description

These Jalapeño Popper Bagels are a delicious twist on the classic appetizer, combining the flavors of jalapeño poppers with a bagel base. Creamy, cheesy, and slightly spicy, these bagels make a perfect snack or party appetizer.

Bagels:

  • 4 plain or everything bagels, halved

Jalapeño Popper Filling:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 23 fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely diced
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Sliced jalapeños for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Assemble the bagels: Spread the jalapeño popper mixture evenly over each bagel half. Top with shredded mozzarella and jalapeño slices if desired.
  4. Bake: Place the bagels on the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for an additional 1–2 minutes for a golden top.
