Bagels:
- 4 plain or everything bagels, halved
Jalapeño Popper Filling:
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 2–3 fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely diced
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Sliced jalapeños for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.
- Assemble the bagels: Spread the jalapeño popper mixture evenly over each bagel half. Top with shredded mozzarella and jalapeño slices if desired.
- Bake: Place the bagels on the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for an additional 1–2 minutes for a golden top.
- Serve: Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra heat, leave the jalapeño seeds in.
- These bagels are also a great party appetizer when cut into quarters.
