  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup heavy cream (divided)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Flaky sea salt for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and grease lightly.
  2. Cook the Caramel Mixture: Combine sugar, corn syrup, 1/2 cup cream, cocoa powder, and salt in a saucepan. Stir, bring to a boil, then add the remaining cream. Cook to 245°F.
