Description

Indulge your loved ones with this romantic Heart-Shaped Raspberry Mousse with a decadent Brownie Base. A perfect dessert for Valentine’s Day or any special occasion!

For the brownie base:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

For the raspberry mousse:

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

For garnish:

  • fresh raspberries
  • mint leaves
  • chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Make the brownie base: Whisk together melted butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla, mix in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Bake, cool, and cut out heart shapes.
  3. Prepare the raspberry mousse: Cook raspberries, sugar, and lemon juice, strain, dissolve gelatin, cool. Whip cream and sugar, fold in raspberry mixture. Fill molds with brownie hearts and mousse. Chill.
  4. Garnish and serve: Unmold, garnish with raspberries, mint leaves, and chocolate shavings. Serve and enjoy!
