Cookies:

Chocolate Filling:
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- Heart-shaped sprinkles or coarse sugar for decoration (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolk and vanilla extract.
- Add dry ingredients: Gradually mix in the flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Shape cookies: Scoop 1-tablespoon portions of dough, roll into balls, and place on the baking sheet. Press an indent in the center of each ball in a heart shape.
- Bake: Bake for 12–14 minutes until lightly golden.
- Prepare chocolate filling: Microwave chocolate chips and heavy cream until smooth.
- Fill cookies: Once the cookies are out of the oven, reinforce the indent, let cool, and fill with melted chocolate.
- Decorate: Top with sprinkles if desired and let the chocolate set before serving.
