Description

Indulge in a delectable meal with this Crispy Parmesan Chicken featuring a rich garlic sauce. This easy-to-make dish is perfect for a flavorful dinner that will impress your guests and satisfy your cravings.

Ingredients

Scale

For the chicken:

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

For the garlic sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Pound chicken breasts: To even thickness. Set up three bowls with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with ½ cup Parmesan, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dredge chicken: First in flour, then dip into egg, and coat in breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  3. Cook chicken: In olive oil in a skillet until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make garlic sauce: Melt butter, sauté garlic, whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream, simmer, then stir in Parmesan and red pepper flakes. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Finish dish: Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over the top, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

  • This dish pairs beautifully with pasta, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
  • For a lighter sauce, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop.
