Scale
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup milk
- 8 ounces spaghetti or pasta of choice
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the broth and milk, then bring to a gentle boil. Add the dry pasta and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook uncovered, stirring frequently, for 10–12 minutes or until the pasta is al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until creamy and well combined. Let sit for a minute or two to thicken. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra richness, stir in a splash of heavy cream or a spoonful of cream cheese before adding the cheese.
- You can also add cooked chicken, mushrooms, or spinach for a heartier meal.
