For the pasta:
- 8 ounces fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Reserved pasta water as needed
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
