Ingredients
Scale
Steak Bites
- 1 lb steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste (approximately ½ tsp)
Cheesy Alfredo Pasta Twists
- 12 oz pasta twists (rotini or cavatappi)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, then add the pasta twists. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta thoroughly and set aside.
- Cook the Steak: Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the bite-sized steak pieces generously with salt and pepper. Add the steak to the hot skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned on all sides. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside to rest.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet with the steak juices, reduce heat to medium and sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and stir to combine. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and season with ½ teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Stir continuously until the sauce becomes smooth, thick, and creamy.
- Combine Pasta and Steak: Return the cooked pasta and steak bites to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss everything together so that the pasta and steak are evenly coated with the creamy sauce.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella over the top of the combined ingredients. Allow the mozzarella to melt slightly by covering the skillet or leaving it on low heat for a minute or two before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute the steak with chicken or shrimp for a variation.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and smoother sauce.
- Be careful not to overcook the pasta — al dente texture works best.
- For a lighter option, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream, though the sauce will be less rich.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop.
