Ingredients
Scale
For the Meatballs:
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper to taste
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
For the Pasta:
- 8 oz linguine
- ½ cup grated Parmesan
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Make the Meatballs: In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well to blend the flavors and form the mixture into 1-inch sized meatballs.
- Brown the Meatballs: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the meatballs. Brown them on all sides, cooking thoroughly for about 7-10 minutes. Once done, remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: Using the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Return the meatballs back to the skillet and coat them well with the garlic butter sauce. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Cook the Pasta: While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the linguine according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain the pasta and return it to the pot.
- Make the Creamy Linguine: Toss the hot linguine with grated Parmesan, heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy, cheesy sauce.
- Serve: Plate the creamy Parmesan linguine and generously top with the garlic butter meatballs. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- For juicier meatballs, avoid overmixing the meat mixture.
- Use freshly minced garlic for the best flavor in the sauce.
- You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Reserve a little pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
- Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
