Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray and set aside.
  2. Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until melted and smooth.
  3. Add Flavor: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt if using.
  4. Combine with Cereal: Gently fold in the Fruity Pebbles cereal until fully coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  5. Press into Pan: Quickly transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and use a buttered spatula or wax paper to press it evenly into the pan without compacting it too much.
