Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispie Treats:
- 6 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 package (10 ounces) mini marshmallows
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray and set aside.
- Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until melted and smooth.
- Add Flavor: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt if using.
- Combine with Cereal: Gently fold in the Fruity Pebbles cereal until fully coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Press into Pan: Quickly transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and use a buttered spatula or wax paper to press it evenly into the pan without compacting it too much.
- Cool and Serve: Let cool for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- For extra gooey treats, reserve 1 cup of marshmallows and stir them in at the end before pressing into the pan.
- You can also drizzle with white chocolate or top with sprinkles for fun variations.
