Description

Indulge in the holiday spirit with this Frostbite Blue Christmas Cocoa, a rich and creamy white chocolate drink tinted with a cool blue hue. Topped with whipped cream and festive blue sugar crystals, this cocoa is perfect for sipping by the fireplace on a winter evening.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 drop blue gel food coloring
  • whipped cream for topping
  • blue sugar crystals or sprinkles for garnish
  • optional: mini marshmallows or snowflake candies

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the milk and white chocolate chips. Stir constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth, about 5–7 minutes. Do not boil.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract and a drop of blue food coloring, adjusting until the desired icy blue shade is reached.
  3. Pour the cocoa into mugs and top with whipped cream. Garnish with blue sugar crystals, sprinkles, or other festive toppings as desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a richer version, use half-and-half or a splash of heavy cream.
  • This cocoa can also be made in a slow cooker on low for 1–2 hours.
