Main Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground turkey
Spices:
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup chicken broth
Optional Toppings:

Instructions
- Heat olive oil: In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Cook vegetables: Add onion and bell pepper, cook until softened. Stir in garlic.
- Cook turkey: Add ground turkey, cook until no longer pink.
- Add spices: Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Combine ingredients: Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, and broth. Simmer.
- Serve: Cook uncovered for 25–30 minutes. Serve hot with toppings.
Notes
- For extra heat, add a diced jalapeño with the onion and pepper.
- This chili tastes better the next day after flavors meld.
- You can use ground chicken instead of turkey.
