Ingredients
Ritz Crackers:
54 Ritz crackers (about 1 ½ sleeves)
Butter and Sugar Mixture:
1 cup unsalted butter; 1 cup brown sugar, packed
Chocolate Layer:
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Toppings (Optional):
½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts, flaky sea salt for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 10×15-inch baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil, lightly greased.
- Layer Ritz Crackers: Arrange Ritz crackers in a single layer on the prepared sheet.
- Make Caramel: In a medium saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat until it boils. Boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
- Pour Caramel: Immediately pour the hot caramel over the crackers, spreading gently with a spatula.
- Bake: Bake for 5 minutes.
