Filling:
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 cup finely shredded green cabbage
- ½ cup grated carrots
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Wrapping:
- 25–30 lumpia or spring roll wrappers
- 1 egg (beaten, for sealing)
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare Filling: In a large bowl, mix ground pork, cabbage, carrots, onion, garlic, soy sauce, fish sauce, and black pepper.
- Wrap: Lay out a wrapper, add filling, fold bottom corner, tuck in sides, and roll tightly. Seal with beaten egg.
- Fry: Heat oil in a skillet, fry lumpia until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve: Enjoy hot with sweet chili sauce or spiced vinegar.
Notes
- You can prepare and freeze lumpia before frying.
- Fry twice for extra crispiness—first at lower heat, then at higher heat.
