Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients:
- 2 large apples (Fuji, Honeycrisp, or Gala) peeled and sliced into fry-sized sticks
- 1/2 cup almond flour or breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Cooking spray
- Optional for serving: powdered sugar, caramel sauce, or yogurt dip
Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, mix almond flour (or breadcrumbs), cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
- Dip each apple slice into the egg, then coat in the dry mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated apple fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t touch. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar or a side of caramel sauce or yogurt dip if desired.
Notes
- For extra crunch, use panko instead of almond flour.
- Thinner apple slices crisp up better.
- These are best served fresh but can be reheated in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes.
