Description

This creamy noodles recipe combines tender spaghetti with a rich, flavorful sauce made from cream cheese, sour cream, and Parmesan, enhanced with garlic and Cajun seasoning for a deliciously comforting meal ready in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 8 oz thin spaghetti

Sauce

  • 6 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • 1½ tsp minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp sour cream
  • 5 Tbsp milk
  • 2 to 3 tsp salt-free Cajun seasoning
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • 1½ tsp dried parsley
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti: Cook spaghetti according to the package directions until al dente. Drain thoroughly and set aside.
  2. Prepare the sauce: While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Make the creamy base: Reduce the heat to low and add cream cheese, sour cream, milk, Cajun seasoning, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and creamy, being careful not to let it boil.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully incorporated into the sauce.
  5. Toss pasta with sauce: Add the cooked spaghetti directly into the skillet and toss thoroughly to coat the noodles evenly with the creamy sauce.
  6. Finish and serve: Sprinkle the dried parsley over the noodles for a burst of color and flavor. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • Do not let the sauce boil after adding the cream cheese to prevent curdling.
  • Adjust the Cajun seasoning level for desired spiciness.
  • You can substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt for a tangier taste.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a green salad for a complete meal.
