Scale
Crab Filling:
- 8 ounces lump crab meat (drained and picked over for shells)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Other:
- 20 wonton wrappers
- Oil for frying
- Optional: sweet chili sauce or soy dipping sauce for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, green onion, garlic powder, soy sauce, black pepper, and mozzarella cheese. Fold in the crab meat gently until fully incorporated.
- Assemble the Crab Crunchies: Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold into triangles or bring all four corners together to seal.
- Fry the Crab Crunchies: Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry crab crunchies in batches for 2–3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve: Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- You can bake these at 400°F for 12–15 minutes or air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes for a lighter version.
- Imitation crab can be used as a budget-friendly alternative.
- Make sure the wonton wrappers are sealed tightly to avoid leakage during frying.
