Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • Butter or romaine lettuce leaves for wrapping
  • Extra lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil.
  2. Cook turkey: Add the ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Add citrus and herbs: Stir in orange juice, lime juice, lime zest, oregano, thyme, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Finish and assemble: Remove from heat, stir in cilantro. Spoon turkey mixture into lettuce leaves, top with red onion and shredded carrots. Serve with lime wedges.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add chopped cucumber or water chestnuts.
  • You can swap ground turkey with ground chicken or tofu.
  • These wraps are great for meal prep—just store the filling separately from the lettuce.
