Description

These Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Clusters are a delicious and healthy frozen treat combining fresh strawberries, creamy Greek yogurt, and rich semi-sweet chocolate. Perfect for a quick snack or a guilt-free dessert, these clusters are easy to make and delightful to eat.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped strawberries
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yogurt mixture: Add the chopped strawberries, plain Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract to a large bowl. Combine thoroughly until the mixture is evenly blended.
  2. Form the clusters: Using a spoon, scoop about 2 tablespoons of the yogurt mixture and place each scoop onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet or large plate. Shape them gently to form clusters. You should be able to make around 10 clusters.
  3. Freeze the clusters: Place the baking sheet with the yogurt clusters into the freezer. Freeze until the clusters are completely frozen and solid, which takes about 1-2 hours.
  4. Melt the chocolate: Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in short intervals of 15 to 30 seconds, stirring well after each interval until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  5. Coat the frozen clusters: Remove the frozen yogurt clusters from the freezer. Using a spoon, carefully dip each cluster into the melted chocolate to coat it thoroughly. Place each coated cluster back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top for added flavor.
  6. Final freeze and serve: Return the chocolate-coated clusters to the freezer for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to harden and the yogurt to firm up. Once set, enjoy your delicious Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Clusters!

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • If you prefer a sweeter treat, adjust the honey amount to your taste.
  • Be careful not to overheat the chocolate during melting to avoid burning it.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt and use dairy-free chocolate chips.
  • Store leftover clusters in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one week.
