For the Stir Fry:
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (divided)
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup beef broth or water
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef: Toss the sliced flank steak with cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
- Prepare Sauce: Whisk together remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and beef broth.
- Stir-Fry: Heat oil, stir-fry broccoli, then brown beef in batches. Add garlic, ginger, and sauce. Cook until heated through.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
