Main Soup:

- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 celery stalks, sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional)
For the Dumplings:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Main Soup: In a large pot, sauté onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Season with thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper. Add chicken broth and shredded chicken. Simmer.
- For the Dumplings: Mix flour, baking powder, salt, butter, and milk. Drop spoonfuls into the simmering soup. Cover and cook for 15 minutes. Stir in cream.
