Ingredients
Scale
Pasta
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
Chicken
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Sauce
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Garnish
- Chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook the Fettuccine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
- Prepare the Chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness to ensure even cooking. Rub both sides evenly with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add the chicken breasts. Cook for 5–6 minutes on each side until browned and fully cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let rest before slicing into strips.
- Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned. Slowly pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and optional crushed red pepper flakes. Whisk continuously until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened, about 3–4 minutes.
- Toss Pasta and Chicken in Sauce: Add the cooked fettuccine directly to the sauce in the skillet and toss thoroughly to ensure all pasta is coated with the creamy sauce. Return the sliced chicken strips to the skillet and gently fold them into the pasta and sauce mixture.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top for a burst of color and fresh flavor. Serve the Cajun Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo warm, garnished, and enjoy immediately.

- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream to reduce fat content.
