Ingredients
Scale
Overnight Oats Base
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Fruit
- ½ cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
- Extra berries for topping
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a mason jar or airtight container, combine the rolled oats, unsweetened almond milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir well to incorporate all ingredients evenly.
- Add Berries: Gently fold in the mixed berries to distribute them throughout the oat mixture without crushing them.
- Refrigerate Overnight: Seal the container tightly and place it in the refrigerator. Let the mixture soak for at least 6 hours or overnight to allow the oats and chia seeds to soften and absorb the liquid.
- Serve: In the morning, give the oats a good stir. Top with additional fresh berries before serving. Enjoy cold or let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes if you prefer a less chilled breakfast.
Notes
- You can use frozen berries instead of fresh; just add them before refrigeration so they thaw and infuse flavor.
- For added crunch, top your oats with granola or nuts right before serving.
- Substitute Greek yogurt with dairy-free yogurt to make this recipe vegan-friendly.
