Description

These Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are a perfect blend of spicy, sweet, and savory flavors. Tender chicken skewers are air-fried to perfection and then coated in a creamy and spicy Bang Bang sauce. Easy to make and packed with deliciousness!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Skewers:

  • 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • wooden or metal skewers

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, toss the cubed chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Skewer the chicken: Thread the chicken onto skewers.
  4. Air fry the skewers: Air fry the skewers in a single layer for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  5. Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar until smooth.
  6. Coat the chicken: Once the skewers are done, brush generously with Bang Bang sauce or serve it on the side for dipping.
  7. Garnish and serve: Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired before serving.

Notes

  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand to prevent burning.
  • The sauce can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 5 days.
  • This dish pairs well with rice, salad, or lettuce wraps.
