  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)

For the glaze (optional):

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tsp milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare muffin tin: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners.
  2. Prepare muffin batter: In a large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, mix wet ingredients until smooth. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fill muffin cups with batter.
  3. Add streusel topping: Mix streusel ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle over muffin batter.
  4. Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan before transferring to a wire rack.
  5. Add glaze (optional): Whisk powdered sugar with milk and drizzle over cooled muffins.
