Scale
Base Ingredients
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons honey (plus extra for serving)
Garnish
- A handful of chopped pistachios or almonds
- Fresh fruit like berries or mango (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the correct temperature for baking the yogurt mixture evenly.
- Prepare the yogurt mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, cardamom powder (if using), vanilla extract, and honey until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Set up the water bath: Pour the yogurt mixture into individual ramekins or a small baking dish. Place the ramekins inside a larger baking pan and carefully add hot water to the pan so it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins. This water bath helps the yogurt bake gently and evenly.
- Bake the yogurt: Place the baking pan with the water bath and ramekins into the oven. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the yogurt is just set but still slightly jiggly at the center, to retain a creamy texture.
- Cool and chill: Remove the ramekins from the oven and allow them to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill and fully set the dessert.
- Serve with garnish: Before serving, drizzle additional honey over the top, sprinkle with chopped nuts like pistachios or almonds, and add fresh fruit such as berries or mango for a bright, fresh finish.
Notes
- Use full-fat yogurt for extra creaminess and richness.
