Apple Pie Filling:

  • 2 cups apple pie filling (chopped into small pieces)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Prepare the cupcakes: Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions. Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full and bake for 18–22 minutes.
