Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 package (9–10 oz) refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Nonstick cooking spray or olive oil spray
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce (for serving)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes to ensure it’s ready for cooking.
  2. Prepare Buttermilk Dip: Pour the buttermilk into a small bowl for dipping the ravioli.
  3. Mix Breadcrumb Coating: In another bowl, combine the Italian-style breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning thoroughly.
  4. Coat Ravioli: Dip each ravioli piece into the buttermilk, then coat it evenly with the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring full coverage.
  5. Arrange in Air Fryer: Place the coated ravioli in a single layer inside the air fryer basket without overlapping to allow proper air circulation.
  6. Spray with Oil: Lightly spray the tops of the coated ravioli with nonstick cooking spray or olive oil spray to help crispiness.
  7. Air Fry: Cook for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the ravioli is golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  8. Cool and Serve: Remove the ravioli from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with the marinara sauce for dipping and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute cheese ravioli with meat or spinach ravioli according to preference.
  • To add a spicy kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes into the breadcrumb mixture.
  • For a dairy-free version, use plant-based milk instead of buttermilk and omit Parmesan cheese.
