Ingredients
Scale
Filling
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup blueberry preserves or pie filling
Wontons
- 20 wonton wrappers
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing)
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Fill and Seal Wontons: Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture and 1/2 teaspoon of blueberry preserves in the center. Lightly moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold into a triangle or bring all corners up to form a pouch. Press edges firmly to seal tightly. Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers.
- Preheat Air Fryer and Prepare Wontons: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lightly brush or spray the wontons with melted butter to help them crisp up evenly.
- Air Fry the Wontons: Place the wontons in the air fryer basket in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Air fry for 5 to 6 minutes or until they are golden brown and crisp on the outside. Allow them to cool slightly before serving.
- Serve: Optionally dust the warm wontons with powdered sugar for an elegant touch. Serve immediately and enjoy these delightful dessert bites.
Notes
- Use full-fat cream cheese for the best texture and flavor.
- You can substitute blueberry preserves with raspberry or strawberry jam for variety.
- These wontons are best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated in the air fryer for 2 to 3 minutes if needed.
